Nick Kempe takes the reins as Senior Playing Head Coach for 2026. Debuting at 16 in Mackay, Nick represented QLD and the Allies before playing five State League seasons with the Suns, Collingwood, and Casey Demons. He brings winning experience from West Preston’s incredible "6th to Premiership" run. Focused on driving professionalism and connecting the junior and senior programs, Nick is determined to unlock the squad's potential and steer the club back into finals contention.

Former North Melbourne draftee (2016, pick 36) Josh Williams joins Coomera as Playing-Assistant Coach for 2026. A product of the Suns Academy, Josh brings elite experience from stints with the Suns, Werribee, and Southport (VFL/NEAFL). Known for line-breaking speed, he recently earned Team of the Year honors in the CMFNL and topped TMFNC’s goal-kicking charts with 92 goals in 29 games. Josh is eager to bring fresh energy and leadership to "The Nest," elevating the group with his mix of AFL pathways and grassroots success.
